Ye Olde Delph Bowmen is a welcoming field archery club established in 1981 based in Atherton, Greater Manchester. The club offers a friendly environment to learn and enjoy field archery. We are proud members and supporters of the National Field Archery Society (NFAS).
Field archery in the UK is a popular outdoor sport that involves shooting at targets set in natural environments, often through woods and uneven terrain. It combines skill, precision, and a connection with nature, making it an appealing challenge for archers of all abilities.
The NFAS / National Field Archery Society exists to foster and promote Field Archery as a sport. All courses are unmarked (i.e. unknown distances), usually situated in woodland, and targets are predominantly 3D or paper animal faces. There are eleven officially recognised shooting styles within the society, offering something for everyone.
